At While She is True, we are dedicated to empowering young girls to explore the world of technology. Through our engaging and accessible programs, we provide hands-on classes in Python, Scratch, JavaScript, and more. Join us for a day of innovation, creativity, and community as girls aged 10–15 showcase their technology projects and inclusive solutions. This year’s hackathon will feature inspiring guest speakers, exciting tech demos, and awards recognizing outstanding projects.

Participants include campers from our Robotics + AI Summer Camp and the general public through the Open Hackathon Division, all working under the theme “Designing Inclusive Solutions.”

Registration is mandatory for all participants and guests due to limited space. Please register your child and attending family members.

There are two divisions in this year’s hackathon:
  • Robotics + AI Division: Featuring projects built during our two-week summer camp.
  • Open Hackathon Division: Open to all girls aged 10–15 with an interest in technology, regardless of previous participation in our programs.

Throughout the day, participants and guests will hear from inspiring women in tech. These talks are designed to motivate, educate, and showcase real-world impact.

  • Top 3 projects in each division will be recognized
  • All participants receive a certificate

A complimentary lunch and snacks will be provided to all registered participants and guests. Please note dietary restrictions during registration.

During the event, there will be a gallery walk and live showcase where participants can showcase their projects. Participants int he Robotics + AI Division will both have a live showcase and a gallery walk, while participants in the Open Hackathon Division will have a gallery walk only.

Registration is closed for our 2025 Summer Programs, but we are excited to announce that we will be offering more free coding classes in the future!
